Etiquette Etiquette is more important in high school than any other school for one reason - the upperclassmen are short tempered when it comes to freshmen. If you aren't nice to them then they can make your days drag on forever. They've been here longer than you have and they should be treated with respect. If you stay out of their way then you'll be fine but trust me, all upperclassmen hate stupid freshmen. So don't be stupid and make smart decisions and you might even make a senior or junior one of your friends. When walking in the hallway, don't hold up traffic because you want to stop and talk to your friend, move off to the side and let other people through. Another rule in the hallway is that it works like a road would. Always stay to the right because that's the side that everybody walks on. When walking don't go super slow just because you don't have far to go because that holds other people up and they may need to go from one end of the school to other and they need to walk fast. So to recap, be nice to the upperclassmen, stay to the right of the hall, and don't hold up traffic. And remember if you think ti's bad here just read this article from another school's newspaper http://my.hsj.org/Schools/Newspaper/tabid/100/view/frontpage/schoolid/2524/articleid/381791/newspaperid/2529/How_to_Survive_Crowded_Hallways.aspx.
